Terrible adaptation for a great novel

Please read the novel instead. It feels like they took the novel, cut out everything that made it good and transformed what was left into this manga. I don't think i have ever seen something adapted so poorly.
The novel has a ton of witty dialogue. No witty dialogues here.
The novel has a ton of internal monologue of the protagonist that explains what he is doing. None of that here, which makes it impossible to understand what is actually going on below the surface level.
The novel has awesome fights that are also important for character development. The first fight was pretty long in the novel, here it was over in an instant.
Even the art isn't that good and the character design of the MC feels... wrong. Compare it to the novel cover.
And even if you didn't read the novel, this is just a bad manhwa on its own. The pace is all over place and it feels rushed.

The manhwa is quite rushed and cuts a lot of the thought process that MC does. It also cuts certain storylines short that helped the Saintess grow as a person due to the rush.
Just read the novel instead. It's already completely translated as well.

A bad translation of a bad adaptation of a great novel

Read 20 chapters in a mass release, but was every chapter translated by someone different? There were huge problems with consistency (eg, names, whether statues are plural or singular, etc.), as if whoever was looking at that chapter was not familiar with the ongoing story.
It's a shame that they didn't just stick to the names from the translated novel, but oh well.
What's worse is that the adaptation itself loses a TON from the original novel. Much of the humor, cleverness, and straight up cruelty of the MC are completely absent, leaving a bland generic shell. And the pacing is an absolute mess.
The original novel is great, and I recommend it. But this sad adaptation? Pass.
What a bummer.
