Our final visit last week to Páirc Ghnó Ghaoth Dobhair was to a packaging company ProAmpac that we have known for some time through our Certificates of Origin service and I finally got to meet Mary O'Donnell from the logistics team in person. Tom Herrity, Supply Chain Manager showed us round complete with white coats and hairnets. ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company that provides creative packaging solutions, industry leading customer service and award winning innovation. It was fantastic to see the manufacturing process of the packaging we see everyday on our supermarket shelves. Managed by Operations Director John McDermott, it was clear to see how rooted the company is here in Donegal with lots of bi-lingual signage and the Core Values clearly there for everyone to see.Next time you buy a sandwich, ready meal or some pet food the packaging might just be from this company just down the road.

Thanks so much to Chamber Member for inviting us to the opening night of The Woman in Black. What a lovely evening, such a pleasure to be at one of the best selling London productions. Powerful performances for the actors in this fantastic venue. If you haven't booked, get your tickets now! Thanks also to Cara Mc Cartney and Karen Sullivan who took care of us in the Speakeasy, such a beautifully designed space. I might just book there next time I'm in. Thanks to everyone at the Millennium Forum for looking after us.

Last week Letterkenny Chamber President, Claire McDonough and I took the opportunity of going out to lovely west Donegal at Údarás na Gaeltachta to meet Irish Pressings, another hidden gem of a business. We met Ben McGonagle who told us the whole story of this manufacturing business as well as giving us a detailed tour. This company specialises in the design and manufacturing of tooling, pressed metal components, welded assemblies and prototyping for the automotive industry. Customers include all the most recognisable car brands and the company is a globally recognised supplier. We were blown away by the scale of the work, it was a factory with lots of large machines, operated by people and robotics, backed up by teams in design, quality control and sales. We were delighted to also meet Managing Director, Declan Ward and to visit the new plant and offices that are just being finished to the highest standards. It is amazing to see what goes on behind the scenes. Thanks to Karen Campbell for organising.

What a delight to visit Letterkenny Chamber Member this week. They provide specialist training for Renewables, Wind Energy, Maritime & Offshore Oil & Gas Industry. Based in Falcarragh, the premises look ordinary from the outside but are far from that inside. The equipment and whole set up is state of the art and the centre is the first and only GWO Accredited Training Provider to offer all 5 GWO Basic Safety Training courses under the one roof. We look forward to hearing even more success from Errigal Training Centre in the future.
